Born on September 2, 1966, in Maiduguri, Borno State, he hails from the illustrious family of Alhaji Shettima Mustafa Kuttayibe, the Shettima Kawama Moworanma of Borno. His mother, Hajja Nana Kujarima Shettima, was a princess from the esteemed El-Kanemi royal family, deeply rooted in the rich cultural heritage of Borno.
